workshop
2024

A workshop exploring accessible browser based generative AI tools within art practice, set against larger questions concerning dreaming, the internet and acts of collective creativity. Through the workshop participants were introduced to browser based AI tools to generate material from in response to a ‘prompt’ narrative, Jorge Louis Borges’ short story The Fauna of Mirrors. Derived from A.G. Cook’s idea of the laptop as the folk instrument of contemporary music, the workshop asks questions of these AI tools in relation to an idea of folk art.

As part of Sideshow, Lethaby Gallery (London).
